Dyslexia Action Training
Dyslexia Action is a leading provider of accredited SpLD training. We have successfully delivered more than 15,000 courses to education professionals since 2010 and many more since we were first established in 1972.
Our innovative online courses strengthen the expertise and confidence of education professionals who support students with literacy difficulties, dyslexia and other specific learning difficulties (SpLDs).

Become a Specialist Literacy Teacher/Practitioner
You can opt to study either the Level 5 Diploma or the Level 7 Certificate (the level 5 does not carry Masters credits)
- Level 5 Diploma: Specialist Teaching for Literacy-Related Difficulties (DIST) Graduate Route
- Level 5 Diploma: Specialist Teaching for Literacy-Related Difficulties (DIST) for those without a degree
- Level 7 Postgraduate Certificate: Specialist Teaching for Literacy-Related Difficulties

Become a Specialist Literacy Teacher/Practitioner/Assessor
Literacy Assessment is a highly regulated area. You should already be a qualified Specialist SpLD Literacy teacher/practitioner BEFORE you can carry out training to become a Specialist assessor. We offer several training options, visit this page for further information.
If you do not hold any SpLD qualifications, please look at our Postgraduate Diploma Specialist Assessment and Teaching for Literacy-Related Difficulties which offers both teaching and assessment.

Become a Specialist Maths Teacher/Practitioner
Level 7 (Postgraduate) Certificate: Specialist Teaching for Maths-Related Difficulties
The Certificate enables delegates to develop critical thinking skills, reflective practice and disciplined enquiry through study of the theory and practice associated with the teaching and non-standardised appraisal of learners with Maths-Related difficulties.
CPD programme
Our CPD programme provides a flexible route to gaining specialist knowledge and practical skills. Units can be studied individually, grouped as an Award (3 set units) or to gain a certificate.
