Terms & Conditions
These terms and conditions set out the basis on which you can use our website and place orders.
Dyslexia Action Shop is the trading subsidiary of Dyslexia Action.
Dyslexia Action is a trading name of Real Group Ltd, Company No 06556128, VAT Reg No 837306132.
Your Order
All orders are accepted at our discretion, Dyslexia Action Shop reserves the right to cancel an order where deemed necessary. Your order is accepted and a contract is formed when your order is dispatched. When placing an order on-line payment will be taken at point of checkout, all orders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by your payment provider. You will receive acknowledgement of your order by e-mail. If your order is not accepted you will be notified and your card will be refunded in full.
Orders are subject to availability.
Business Customers
We are happy to invoice and ship goods immediately if orders are over £100. Please quote a Purchase Order Number when ordering. Our payment terms are 30 days.
All goods remain the property of Dyslexia Action Shop until paid for in full.
Overseas Orders
All overseas orders must be paid for in full prior to despatch, delivery charges will be calculated at checkout. Please note that overseas orders may be subject to import duties and taxes which are levied at point of destination.
Any such charges will be the responsibility of the person/organisation placing the order (importer), if you require further information on what charges may be applicable and restrictions on importation please contact your local customs office.
Back Orders
Occasionally we may have items that are temporarily out of stock, if this is the case your order will be placed on back order and you will be notified of the delay; your order will be dispatched as soon as the new stock arrives. If payment has been made by card the option of a refund will be made available, you will then be notified when the new stock is received and given the option to resubmit your order.
Delivery
Expected delivery time is within 5 working days (any items not in stock will be put on back order and sent when available). UK delivery is charged at the following rates:
Orders up to £150.00: £6.30
Orders over £150.01: Free
Please ensure your delivery address is correct; deliveries made to an incorrect address may incur a charge.
After more than three attempts to deliver to the address given, the delivery will be classed as having failed and any further attempts to deliver will incur a charge.
Overseas deliveries will be calculated on an order by order basis and will be dependent on weight and destination. The total cost will be displayed at checkout.
Next Day Delivery: orders which require next (working) day delivery must be placed by 12.00pm. Orders placed on Friday after 12.00pm for next day delivery will be processed on Monday. Orders placed on Saturday and Sunday for next day delivery will be processed on Monday.
The next day delivery charge is £8.30 (exclusive of VAT). Orders over £150.01 which also require next day delivery will not be eligible for free delivery. Lucid products and other higher level products are not available for next day delivery until further notice.
Returns
If you decide to return your order because it is not suitable for your requirements, please return it in a saleable condition, with original packaging, seals unbroken and within 14 days of the date of invoice. Prior to sending please email shop@dyslexiaaction.org.uk stating your order number, the product name and details and your reason for returning the item(s). A credit or refund will not be made until we have receipt of the item(s) and they have been checked. Once approved we will email you confirmation of the credit/refund. If any items are damaged please let us know as soon as possible (and within 14 days) so we can arrange a replacement and collection
Please be aware that return postage and insurance costs of returns will not be refunded to you nor postage and packing costs charged at the point of sale.
Please obtain a proof of posting as you will be liable for the goods until received in the required condition.
Cancellations
Under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 customers in the UK have the right to cancel their order within a period of 7 working days. We require written confirmation of cancellation either by letter or e-mail.
Shortages/Damages
If any part of your order is damaged, incorrect or incomplete please contact the Customer Services Team on 01784 222339 or at shop@dyslexiaaction.org.uk as soon as possible, and within one week of your delivery date.
We will arrange for the item to be returned and a replacement sent out. Please retain any packaging and provide photographs of your order as received to shop@dyslexiaaction.org.uk.
VAT
The prices on our shop are shown exclusive of VAT; the VAT will be calculated at check out.
Prices
Every effort is made to ensure the prices shown are accurate, however in the unlikely event that an error occurs, we will contact you as soon as possible. You will then be given the option of either reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling.
Please note Dyslexia Action Shop reserve the right to change the prices and specifications without notice. All prices shown replace any previously listed.
Discounts
Discounts are run from time to time and for a limited period only and cannot be combined with other discount schemes unless advised.
Loan and membership schemes
We run discount schemes and memberships for the benefit of our training and member clients. To benefit from the scheme students must register online, return the application form to the appropriate team and contact the shop team so that their discount can be applied to their account. Discounts cannot be transferred and we will carry out checks to ensure discounts are applied correctly. On some occasions discounts may have been applied when discounts were not warranted. We may contact you to advise that a further charge will need to be paid or memberships renewed for the discount to apply.
Product Descriptions
Every effort is made to ensure that the product descriptions shown are accurate however errors may occur from time to time. You will be notified if an error relating to your order is discovered and will be given the opportunity to cancel your order before dispatch. Once you have received your order the Returns policy will apply, as set out above.
Assessment Materials
The assessment materials on this website are intended for the exclusive use of suitably qualified practitioners.
You will be required to provide full details of your qualifications and any relevant experience at time of order.
Dyslexia Gold
The bundle packages from Dyslexia Gold are handled on a referal basis only. For GDPR purposed, please be aware that upon purchase of your license key from The Dyslexia Action Shop, you will be re-directed via email to The Dyslexia Gold website page where you will need to register. You will need to provide Dyslexia Gold with your contact details in order to set up your intervention program. Dyslexia Gold will then be in touch to manage your licence.
Changes to Terms and Conditions and Website
Dyslexia Action Shop reserves the right to make changes to their Terms and Conditions and their website. By placing an order on the website, you accept Dyslexia Action Shop Limited’s Terms and Conditions and will be subject to those in force at the time of your order. If for any reason any of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid, void or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of any remaining condition shall not be affected.
Copyright
Unless otherwise specified, the resources, materials and books are for your personal and educational use. You may not modify copy, distribute, display, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, software and products obtained from Dyslexia Action Shop.
Force Majeure
Dyslexia Action Shop will not be held responsible for any delay or failure to deliver goods which is a result of circumstances beyond our control.
This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Law and Jurisdiction
This agreement is governed by English Law. Any dispute or claim in respect of your order will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
